9.11から20年目の追悼式、開かれる

Memorials and other events were held around the world on Sept. 11, 20 years after the terrorist attacks on the U.S.

Crowds gathered in New York at ground zero, where planes flew into the World Trade Center’s twin towers in 2001.

U.S. President Joe Biden was joined by former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Later in the day, Biden said unity was “going to affect our well-being more than anything else.”

米国同時多発テロから20年を迎えた9月11日、世界各地で追悼式典やイベントが行なわれた。

2001年に旅客機が突入した世界貿易センタービルのツインタワーがあったグラウンド・ゼロには大勢の人々が集まった。

バイデン米大統領は、バラク・オバマ元大統領、ビル・クリントン元大統領と共に参加した。

当日式典後、バイデン大統領は、団結することが 「何よりも、私たちの安心安全につながる 」と述べた。
