第９回アフリカ開発会議、閉幕

A Japan-led conference on African development closed on Aug. 22 with members adopting a joint statement that reaffirmed the importance of multilateral trade to counter global protectionist moves.

The participants of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) included Japan, African Union countries, the United Nations and the World Bank.

They also agreed to speed up efforts to bring African countries into global supply chains through free and open trade.

日本が主導するアフリカ開発に関する会議が8月22日、世界的な保護主義に対抗するための多角的貿易体制の重要性を再確認する共同宣言を採択して閉幕した。

第９回アフリカ開発会議（TICAD 9）には、日本、アフリカ連合加盟国、国連、世界銀行の代表らが参加した。

参加者は、自由で開かれた貿易を通じてアフリカ諸国を国際的なサプライチェーンに組み入れるための取り組みを加速することでも合意した。
