世界都市総合力ランキング、東京が48都市中初の2位

Tokyo reached second place in the Global Power City Index, surpassing New York, according to a report released on Dec. 17 by the Mori Memorial Foundation*.

It was the first time Tokyo has climbed to second in the ranking of the world’s cities, while London maintained the top spot.

The index ranks 48 major cities worldwide in six categories: economy, research and development, livability, environment, cultural interaction and accessibility.

Tokyo improved significantly in livability and cultural interaction.

森記念財団が12月17日に発表した世界の「都市総合力ランキング」で、ニューヨークを抜いて東京が第2位となった。

東京が世界の都市ランキングで2位となるのは今回が初めてだった一方、ロンドンが首位を維持した。

このランキングは、経済、研究・開発、居住、環境、文化・交流、交通・アクセスの6分野で世界の48の主要都市を評価している。

東京は特に、居住と文化・交流の分野で大きく評価を伸ばした。
