日本とベルギーの国交160年を祝う

Japanese and Belgian officials kicked off a year of celebrations at a ceremony on Jan. 27 to mark 160 years of diplomatic relations.

The opening ceremony was held at Egmont Palace in Brussels. 

It was attended by about 250 guests, including Japanese and Belgian government officials and representatives of private-sector groups.

About 250 Japanese companies operate in Belgium.

Many anniversary events are planned throughout the year.

日本とベルギーの政府関係者は1月27日、外交関係樹立160周年を記念する1年にわたる祝賀行事を開始する式典を催した。

ブリュッセルのエグモン宮殿で開催された式典には、日本およびベルギーの政府関係者や民間企業の代表など約250人が出席した。

ベルギーでは、約250の日本企業が進出している。

160周年記念の関連行事がこの1年を通し数多く予定されている。
