韓国大統領選、李在明氏が勝利

Lee Jae-myung of the liberal Democratic Party won the South Korean presidential election on June 3 by defeating Kim Moon-soo of the conservative People Power Party.

In a speech after the result, Lee said he would restore democracy in the country and boost the economy.

Last December, then-President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law, then lifted it only hours later. Yoon was removed from office by the Constitutional Court in April.

革新(進歩)系「共に民主党」の李在明(イ・ジェミョン)氏は６月３日の韓国大統領選挙で保守系「国民の力」の金文洙(キム・ムンス)氏を破り、勝利を収めた。

当選後の演説で、李氏は韓国の民主主義を取り戻し、経済を発展させると語った。

昨年12月、当時の大統領尹錫悦(ユン・ソンニョル)氏は戒厳令を宣言したが、その後数時間後に解除した。尹氏は4月に憲法裁判所によって解任された。
