Carbon dioxide in atmosphere spikes to historic high
Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reached their highest levels since the start of the industrial era, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration reported on June 7.
The NOAA said the average carbon dioxide level for May was 419.13 ppm.
That’s 50% higher than in preindustrial times, and the highest figure recorded.
