コロナウイルスが広がる中、高齢者と家族をつなげるロボット登場

In March, the Belgian government introduced several measures to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. One of those was banning visitors to elderly care homes.

However, that makes it hard for care residents to see their loved ones. A Belgian robotics firm has stepped in to help, offering to lend 60 butler-style robots to the care homes.

The 1.2-meter-tall robot “James” can make video calls to connect residents to their families.

しかし、これにより高齢者が愛する家族と会うことが難しくなってしまった。ベルギーのロボットの会社が手を差し伸べ、60台の執事型ロボットを介護ホームへ貸し出した。

身長1.2メートルのロボット「ジェームズ」は、入居者を家族とつなげるため、ビデオ通話を可能にする。
