英下院、たばこ販売禁止法案を可決

A far-reaching anti-smoking bill passed a first vote in the U.K. Parliament on April 17.

Under the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, anyone born since 2009 will never be able to buy tobacco, even after they become adults.

The bill now moves to the amendment stage in Parliament.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the bill last October.

広範囲に影響を及ぼすたばこ販売禁止法案が4月17日、イギリス議会の第一回目の投票で可決された。

「紙たばこ・電子たばこ法案」では、2009年以降に生まれた人は、成人した後もたばこを買うことができなくなる。

この法案は現在、議会での修正段階に移っている。

イギリスのリシ・スナク首相は昨年10月にこの法案を発表した。
