選挙の年 2024 年を見据えて

2024 has been called the year of elections. Half the world’s population will vote in national elections.

Some will be important, like those in Russia, the U.K. and Taiwan.

But the most important election is the U.S. presidential election.

Former President Donald Trump is looking strong in the polls, despite facing four criminal trials.

If he wins, populist leaders around the world will get a boost.

2024年は「選挙の年」と言われており、今年は世界人口の半分が国政選挙で投票する。

ロシア（大統領選挙）、英国（総選挙）、台湾（総統選挙）などの選挙が重要になるだろう。

しかし、最も重要な選挙は米国大統領選挙である。

トランプ前大統領は４つの刑事裁判を抱えているにもかかわらず、世論調査では優勢と見られている。

同氏が勝てば、世界中のポピュリスト指導者らは勢いづくだろう。
