17世紀鋳造のスペイン金貨、過去最高額で落札

A large gold coin sold for a record-high 2,817,500 Swiss francs (¥550 million) at an auction in Switzerland on Nov. 24.

The Centen coin was minted in 1609 for King Philip III of Spain.

It weighs 339 grams and was made out of gold brought from the Americas.

It was worth 100 escudos, an old currency in Spain.

大型の金貨一枚が、11月24日にスイスで行われたオークションで、過去最高額となる2,817,500スイスフラン（日本円にして約5億5,000万円）で落札された。

このセンテン金貨は、1609年にスペイン国王フィリペ3世のために鋳造されたものである。

重量は339グラムで、アメリカ大陸からもたらされた金から作られていた。

この金貨は、スペインの旧通貨単位である100エスクードに相当する。
