G7 leaders agree to aim for nuclear-free world
The leaders of the Group of Seven nations agreed to work toward a world without nuclear weapons, said Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on May 21.
Kishida spoke on the last day of the three-day G7 Summit in Hiroshima.
“It is the mission of Japan, the G7 presidency this year, to demonstrate resolve to preserving peace,” he said.
Earlier in the day, G7 leaders visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
