グテーレス氏、広島平和記念公園で 軍拡競争に警鐘

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned against a nuclear arms race in a speech at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on Aug. 6.

He was visiting Hiroshima on the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the city.

“Crises with grave nuclear threats are spreading fast — from the Middle East, to the Korean Peninsula, to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” he said.

This is the first visit to the ceremony by a U.N. chief since Guterres’ predecessor, Ban Ki-Moon, took part in 2010.

国連のアントニオ・グテーレス事務総長は8月6日、広島平和記念資料館での式典挨拶で、核軍拡競争に警鐘を鳴らした。

グテーレス氏は原爆投下から77年目の節目を迎えた広島を訪れていた。

「中東、朝鮮半島、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻など、核をめぐる深刻な危機が急速に広がっている」と彼は述べた。

グテーレス氏は、前任者の潘基文氏が2010年に訪問して以来、初めて広島の式典を訪れた国連事務総長となる。
