出版物売上げ減少も「鬼滅」効果で歯止め

Print sales have fallen in Japan in recent years, but without the popularity of Demon Slayer, it could have been worse.

Sales for print books and magazines were 1% lower in 2020 than a year earlier, according to a publication research body.

However, this fall was less than the 4.3% drop in 2019. This is partly because of strong sales of Demon Slayer manga comics — more than 120 million copies, including digital sales.

日本国内における出版物の売上げはここ数年減少しているが、『鬼滅の刃』の人気がなければもっと悪い結果になったかもしれない。

出版業界の調査・研究機関によれば、2020年の書籍や雑誌など紙の出版物の売上げは、前の年よりも１％減少した。

しかし、この下落幅は2019年の4.3％の減少よりも低いものだった。これは、一部には『鬼滅の刃』のコミック本の爆発的ヒットによるもので、電子版を含めて１億２千万部が売れた。
