安部首相、コロナウイルスで緊急事態宣言を発令

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on April 7 declared a sweeping state of emergency to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.

The declaration is for Tokyo, Osaka, and five other prefectures and will last until May 6. This may be extended depending on circumstances.

Governors in the seven regions will be able to call for schools to close and ask citizens to stay at home. However, grocery shopping and visits to hospitals are essential outings.

安倍晋三首相は4月7日、新型コロナウイルスの感染を抑止するため、包括的な緊急事態宣言を発令した。

この宣言は東京、大阪に加えその他5県が対象で、5月6日まで継続する。これは状況に応じて延長される可能性がある。

7都府県の知事は、学校への休校要請や、市民への外出自粛の呼び掛けを行うことができる。しかしながら、食料品の買い物や通院は必要不可欠な外出とされている。
