イタリアの美術館がロシアに美術作品を返却

Two museums in Milan will return artworks to Russian museums, the Italian museums said on March 10.

The artworks are on loan from museums in Russia. The Russian museums asked the Italian museums to give them back.

Both Milan museums are currently showing the Russian artworks in exhibitions. They said they will send the pieces to Russia when the exhibitions finish.

The curator of one of the Milanese museums said, “I felt bitter because culture should be protected from war.”

３月1０日、ミラノの2つの美術館がロシアの美術館に美術作品を返却すると発表した。

美術作品のいくつかはロシアの美術館から貸与されているものである。ロシアの美術館がそれらの返却をイタリアの美術館に要求した。

ミラノ美術館の館長は「文化は戦争とは切り離して保護されるべきであり、悔しい思いをしている」と述べた。
