眞子内親王、小室圭さんと結婚し皇室を離れる

Princess Mako married a commoner on Oct. 26. There were no traditional wedding celebrations.

Mako also left Japan’s royal family. This is a requirement for any female royal who marries a commoner.

Mako and Kei Komuro, both 30, held a news conference in a Tokyo hotel. Mako said their marriage was necessary to express their love “while cherishing our hearts.”

The couple will move to New York.

眞子内親王は、10月26日に民間人と結婚された。伝統的な結婚のお祝いの儀式は行われなかった。

また、眞子さまは日本の皇室を離脱された。女性皇族が民間人と結婚する場合は、そうすることが定められている。

共に３０歳の眞子さまと小室圭さんは、都内のホテルで記者会見を行なった。眞子さまは、お二人の結婚は互いの心を大切にしながら、愛をはぐくむために必要なものだと述べられた。

ご夫妻はニューヨークへの移住を予定している。
