タイの川沿いレストラン、水浸しになって人気上昇

A restaurant on the banks of the Chao Phraya River north of Bangkok is booming with diners — even though they have to dodge waves from the river.

The river began rising in early October due to heavy rainfall, which caused a risk of flooding.

Restaurant owner Titiporn Jutimanon kept the restaurant open, and diners came. Many said they enjoyed the thrill of dodging waves when boats passed by.

バンコク北部、チャオプラヤー川のほとりにあるレストランでは、川からの波をかわしながら食事をする客でにぎわっている。

10月上旬、大雨の影響で川が増水し、洪水が発生する恐れがあった。

レストランのオーナーであるティティポン・ジュティマーノンさんは店を開けており、食事をしようと客が集まってきた。大勢の客が、船が通るたびに立てる波をよけるスリルを楽しんでいるという。
