ミラノ五輪で日本は冬季最多メダル獲得

Japan bagged a record-high 24 medals at the Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games, which ended on Feb. 22. 

The country’s five golds matched the record Japan set at the 1998 Nagano Games. 

Team Japan’s athletes shone brightest in snowboarding, where Japan took nine medals, more than double any other nation. 

Japanese figure skaters also won a record six medals.

2月22日に閉幕したミラノ・コルティナ冬季オリンピックで、日本は過去最多となる24個のメダルを獲得した。

金メダル5個は、1998年長野大会に並ぶ記録である。

日本代表の選手たちはスノーボードで最も輝かしい成果を上げた。日本が獲得した9個のメダルは、他のどの国と比較しても2倍を超える数だ。

フィギュアスケートでもまた、過去最多となる6個のメダルを獲得した。
