山手線が環状運転100周年記念列車の運行開始

The Yamanote Line looked like a blast from the past on Oct. 4.

The East Japan Railway line began operating trains with designs of two past Yamanote Line models. 

It’s part of a lead-up to Nov. 1, the 100th anniversary of the date when the Yamanote Line began operating as a loop line.

The designs are from the 103 and 205 series of trains. They will run through Nov. 3.

10月4日、山手線は懐かしい過去を思い出させるような姿だった。

東日本旅客鉄道は、かつての山手線車両2種類のデザインを再現した列車の運行を開始した。

これは11月1日に迎える、山手線の環状運転開始から100周年に向けた企画の一環である。

デザインは103系および205系の車両をもとにしており、11月3日まで運行される予定だ。
