茶道表千家、米支部発足15周年を祝う

The Omotesenke tea school celebrated the 15th anniversary of its eastern U.S. branch on March 12.

The school held a commemorative tea ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The branch has 150 members across cities such as Washington, D.C. and New York.

At the event, Yuyusai Sen Sosa, a grandmaster of the tea school, stressed the importance of the tea ceremony’s spirit.

茶道の流派の1つである表千家が、3月12日にアメリカ東部支部の設立15周年を祝った。

表千家はワシントンD.C.で記念の茶会を開催した。

この支部はワシントンやニューヨークなどの地域に約150名の会員がいる。

イベントでは、表千家の家元である猶有斎千宗左（ゆうゆうさい せんそうさ）氏が、茶道の精神の重要性を強調した。
