戸籍の氏名に振り仮名記載、今年５月から

Family registers in Japan will soon include phonetic readings for people’s names.The change will start on May 26.

The change will be painless for people whose phonetic reading is the same as on their certificates of residence.

However, people must notify local governments within a year of May 26 if they want to register phonetic readings that differ from those on their certificates of residence.

Family registers currently do not include phonetic readings of names.

日本の戸籍に、まもなく氏名に振り仮名が追加で記載されることになる。この改正は５月２６日に施行される。

この改正により、(戸籍の)振り仮名が住民票の振り仮名と同じ人は何をしなくても構わない。

しかし、住民票に登録してある名前の読み方と(戸籍に表記してある読み方が)異なる人は、５月２６日から１年以内に地方自治体に届け出しなければならない。

現在、戸籍には氏名の振り仮名は記載されていない。
