「マイナ免許証」、来年３月開始

“My Number” identification card holders will be able to use the card as a driver’s license, starting in March next year.

The National Police Agency will launch the system on March 24.

Driver’s license information will be stored in the My Number card’s chip.

Using the system will be cheaper.

Getting a new driver’s license in your My Number card will cost ¥1,550, compared to the current ¥2,050.

マイナンバーカード保有者は、来年の3月からマイナンバーカードを運転免許証として利用できるようになる。

警察庁が3月24日からこの制度の運用を開始する。

運転免許証の情報はマイナンバーカードのチップに保存される。

この制度を利用した方が安いという。

運転免許証を新規取得する場合、現在2,050円かかっているが、マイナンバーカードを利用すると1,550円になる。
