愛子さま、日本赤十字社に初出勤

Princess Aiko, the only child of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, began her first day of work at the Japanese Red Cross Society on April 1.

She spoke to reporters outside the Red Cross’s head office in Minato Ward, Tokyo. She said wanted to get used to the office quickly.

The 22-year-old princess will help with training volunteers and promoting the Red Cross, while also continuing to fulfill her official duties.

天皇、皇后両陛下の長女愛子さまは４月１日、日本赤十字社に初出勤された。

東京・港区の赤十字社本社前で記者団に対し、早く職場に慣れたいと述べられた。

愛子さま（２２）は日赤でボランティアの研修・普及業務で働く一方、皇族としての務めも両立される。
