政府、子どもの視力を調査へ

The government will hold a large-scale survey of school students to see how good their eyesight is, education ministry officials said on April 19.

The survey of 9,000 elementary and junior high school students will be held in May and June.

Many young students have recently been using devices such as laptops and tablets. Some people are worried about damage to their eyes.

政府が学校の児童・生徒の視力について大規模な調査を実施すると、文部科学省の担当者が4月19日に発表した。

小中学生9,000人が対象の調査は、5月と6月に実施される。

最近多くの児童・生徒たちがノートパソコンやタブレットなどの機器を使用している。（これらの機器が）目に与える悪影響を心配する人もいる。
