不漁続きだったサンマが今年は好調

Japan’s fishing industry is catching more large sauries than they have for years, according to fishery officials.

This year’s fishing season started on Aug. 10. 

Officials say that the season’s saury catch has many more large sauries than previous catches. 

Many of the sauries caught in late August were 140-150 grams. That’s 1.4 times larger than last year.

漁業関係者によると、日本の漁業において、ここ数年で最も大ぶりのサンマが大量に水揚げされている。

今年の漁期は8月10日に解禁された。

関係者によれば、今季のサンマ漁では、これまでの漁獲と比べ大ぶりのサンマが多いという。

8月下旬に漁獲されたサンマは140～150グラムのものが多く、昨年の約1.4倍の大きさである。
