渋谷区長「ハロウィーン目的で来ないで」

Ken Hasebe has a blunt message for partygoers: Don’t come to Shibuya for Halloween.

The mayor of the Tokyo entertainment district is worried that large crowds of people would be unsafe, he said on Sept. 12.

He pointed to the accident last year in Seoul, where over 150 people died after a crowd crush.

Shibuya is not a party venue, Hasebe told reporters.

渋谷区の長谷部健区長は、パーティー好きの人たちに「ハロウィーン目的で渋谷に来ないで」と率直なメッセージを送った。

東京の歓楽街である渋谷区の区長は、9月12日、大勢が集まることで危険性が高まることを懸念していると明かした。

区長は昨年ソウルで起きた雑踏事故で150人以上が死亡した事故を指摘した。

渋谷はパーティー会場ではないと記者団に語った。
