若者の半数「子どもほしくない」

A survey has found that around half of unmarried adults under 30 in Japan do not want children.

The survey was taken by 400 respondents aged 18 to 29 by a major pharmaceutical company.

It found that 49.4 percent of respondents said they didn’t want children. This included 53.0 percent of men and 45.6 percent of women.

Reasons for not wanting children included economic concerns.

未婚の30歳以下の若者の半数が子どもを望んでいないことが調査で分かった。

調査は大手製薬会社が18歳から29歳の400人を対象に実施した。

回答者の49.4%が「子どもは欲しくない」と回答した。その内訳は、男性の53%、女性の45.6%となっている。

子どもが欲しくない理由として、経済的な問題への懸念などが挙げられた。
