電動キックボード、７月から免許不要に

People aged 16 and older will be able to ride electric scooters without a license starting in July, the National Police Agency said on Jan. 19.

People can ride e-scooters with a top speed of 20 kilometers per hour without a license. Officials recommend riders wear a helmet, but they do not have to.

Riders have to follow the same traffic rules as cyclists.

警察庁は1月19日、７月より16歳以上の場合、免許不要で電動スクーターの利用が可能になると発表した。

これにより、時速最高速度20キロの電動キックボードの利用が免許不要で可能になる。利用者はヘルメットの着用を推奨されているが、義務ではない。

利用者は自転車と同じ交通ルールに従わなければならない。
