政府、健康保険証を廃止し、マイナンバーカード促進へ

All health insurance cards will be integrated into the “My Number” system by fall 2024, the government said on Oct. 13.

In principle, current health insurance cards will no longer be used,a spokesperson said.

The government said it wants almost all citizens to get My Number cards by March 2023.

At the moment, only about half the population has a My Number card.

政府は10月13日、2024年秋までにすべての健康保険証をマイナンバー制度に統合すると発表した。

担当者の話によれば、原則として現在の健康保険証は使えなくなるという。

政府は、2023年３月までにほぼすべての国民がマイナンバーカードを取得することを目指したいと述べている。

現時点では、全国民の約半数しかマイナンバーカードを所持していない。
