Belgian students march in climate protests

Tens of thousands of students skipped school across Belgium on Jan. 31.

Instead, they took to the streets to send a message to governments: “Do more to fight climate change.”

They are part of a global movement of students.

The students take a day off school every week to protest climate inaction.

何万人もの学生が1月31日、ベルギー全土で授業をボイコットした。

授業の代わりに学生は、「気候変動対策を強化せよ」というメッセージを各国政府に送るべく、街頭デモ行進を行った。

温暖化対策を求めるデモは、世界各地で行われている。

学生は毎週１日学校を休み、温暖化への対策が不十分であることへ抗議しているのだ。
