Merkel: Twitter’s ban of Trump ‘problematic’

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is concerned about Twitter’s ban of U.S. President Donald Trump, her spokesperson said on Jan. 11.

He said that the right to speak one’s mind was very important. Merkel thought it was “problematic” for Twitter to ban Trump permanently, he said.

The social media site banned Trump after his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6.
