Princess Mako will marry college sweetheart

Princess Mako, the elder daughter of Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko, is set to marry a man she met at her college.

She met Kei Komuro when they both attended Tokyo’s International Christian University.

Komuro is now at graduate school in Tokyo’s Hitotsubashi University and also works at a law firm, said the Imperial Household Agency. They are both 25.

They are expected to marry next year.

秋篠宮ご夫妻の長女の眞子さまは、大学時代の同級生と婚約されることになった。

眞子さまと小室圭さんは、国際基督教大学に通っていたときに出会った。

宮内庁によると、小室さんは一橋大学の大学院に在籍しながら、法律事務所で働いているとのこと。眞子さまと小室さんは同じ25歳である。２人のご結婚は来年になるとみられている。
